Questa colonna sonora contiene brani composti ed eseguiti da Enya e da altri artisti (si veda la tracklist per ulteriori info). Si tratta per lo più di brani strumentali ad eccezione di The Frog Prince, Dreams - eseguiti da Enya e prodotti da Nicky Ryan - e di Les Flon-Flons Du Bal eseguito da Edith Piaf. Le restanti quattordici tracce (incluso il brano della Piaf) furono prodotte da Richard Myhill. Uscito nel 1985 nella versione LP e audio tape per l’etichetta Island Visual Arts  fu successivamente rilasciato nel formato CD nel 1995 per l’etichetta Spectrum Music. Un ulteriore ristampa nel formato CD è avvenuta nel 1999 (sempre sotto l’etichetta Spectrum Music). All’intero del booklet del CD sono presenti alcune parole riguardanti Enya riportate qui di seguito:

When she was eighteen Enya (Eithne Ní Bhraonáin) joined the group Clannad, her immediately family. With whom she recorded two albums and toured Europe for two years. After she decided to devote her time to her own music. This album sees her first incursion into the world of film music. It is a grate source of pride for Enya that David Puttnam chose her music for this project.
