THE MEMORY OF TREES (1995)

Uscito nel novembre del 1995, quest’album vinse nel 1997 il Grammy per Best New Age Album. La cover dell’album è ispirata alla litografia di Maxfield Parrish (1870-1960) intitolata Young King of Black Isles (1910). Da quest’album saranno estratti solo due singoli: Anywhere Is (1995) e On My Way Home (1996). In quest’ultimo verrà inclusa una versione remix del brano differente da quella contenuta nell’album. In alcune versioni giapponesi dell’album fu aggiunta come dodicesima traccia la b-side strumentale Oriel Window (che realizzata nel 1988 verrà rilasciata solo a partire del 1992 all’interno del singolo Oíche Chiún (Silent Night) nonché nei singoli e nelle raccolte successive). Oriel Window non apparirà però nella tracklist nel retro del cd di The Memory of Trees ma solo nell’obi strip e nel booklet in giapponese in aggiunta al booklet tradizionale. Nella nuova edizione rimasterizzata dell’album, pubblicata agli inizi di marzo 2009 solo per il mercato giapponese, alla tracklist normale sono state aggiunte come bonus tracks Anywhere Is (edit), On My Way Home (remix) e la b-side I May Not Awaken che era apparsa per la prima volta nel singolo On My Way Home.
